Hello dear parents and guardians!

This is Math Teacher Mr Hooper.

We have just begun a new curriculum section: Unit 4 Proportional Relationships and Percentages.

I am including links to the Family Support Materials provided by the curriculum. 

Family support materials.

Ultimately, I do not expect famililies to help their students directly, but your child needs a good deal of indirect support. Please consider doing the following in your home every school night to help your student be the best that they can be.

School nights.

1.        A quiet and productive home environment means no social media, no gaming, and no TV.

2.        Your student should complete at least 30 minutes academic work each evening.

3.        Suggestions: (a) Khan Academy, (b) Hooper-assigned homework, and (c) unit review.

I have enough grades now for each student to tell whether your student is struggling. 

On-campus help.

1.        Mr Hooper tutoring Mondays and Wednesdays during lunch.

2.        Ms Ayala tutoring for those with IEPs at 330pm Mondays and Wednesdays.

3.        Access to online tutoring in Ms Armstead’s classroom from 330pm to 430pm Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

If your child has an NP or a C, they need to start doing something different now. Please do not wait!
